If you follow the blog, you'll see some new Slideshow posts. I had been trying to decide what was the best way to put slideshows on my site, but I also wanted to include the blog more. After much deliberation, I decided to embed the slideshows in blog posts, and then simply link to them on the website.
I will be adding wedding slideshows as well, and am pretty excited about building those.
But to really celebrate Labor Day, we played. First there was catching up to be done with our good friends Tom and Shannon. Tom and Shannon have two little boys, Braden and Micah. I have two little boys, Kadin and Maddox (Max). They all get along so incredibly well. Braden and Kadin are both 8 and are into the same things - Pokemon, video games - and Micah and Maddox, though a year apart in age, are about the same size and energy level, and got affectionately dubbed "M squared" the first time we all hung out together.
With all the boys playing together, us adults got down to business drinking some wine. Except for Tom, who was drinking Moscato - grape juice that moonlights as wine. (Just kidding, Tom!)
We chatted for a while, then ordered Chinese take out, and gathered the Rock Band paraphernalia. And it was on.
I wish I remembered what Shannon was singing! That's Braden peeking out by Tom's shoulder.
Shannon and Tom are always super cute. Tom was right though, it is difficult to look awesome while wearing that itty bitty guitar. I tried to make the guitar look bigger with some lens adjusting, but didn't quite pull off 'AWESOME':

Wait a minute! Drum Difficulty - 5 little devil heads? Only RUSH!

After Rock Band, we played Cranium - Girls Vs. Boys. Girls won! Of course.
It's always great to see these two and the boys - we don't get to hang out enough. All in all, Labor Day was a blast, and I'm glad I wrestled myself away from the computer and the website for a bit of a break. Labor Day 2010 was well-recognized!
