Keegan and Adam's E-Session

I have only been to Alton one other time - to photograph another couple's E-Session. But driving over the bridge into Alton yesterday, I remembered why I feel in love with it the first time. The town is an industrial, historical river city, with so much charm and so much personality. Grungy and yet, sweet. I love the contrasts between blocks as you drive through it.

I met Keegan and Adam in the village of Chautauqua, and followed them through the gate to a cabin called 'The Sisterhood'. If you like Americana and Dirty Dancing, you'd be in love. All the charm of days gone by, all the love of family and friends, all the personality of lifetimes of good times are worn into the floorboards and painted in murals on the wall. One was a tree, with a quote by Louisa May Alcott:

"Help one another is part of the religion of our Sisterhood."

As soon as I pulled up, I knew Keegan and Adam had chosen a very special location for their pictures, and I was so excited! And nervous, worried that I wouldn't be able to catch all the special charm of the place.

Waterfall? Yes. Chapel? Yes. Swinging Benches? Yes. Landscaped gardens? Yes.

Adam was in the Marine Corps (Thank you for your service, sir!) and used to be stationed in Hawaii. I wonder if he misses strolling around all that beauty, when he now gets to stroll around with this Beauty? (that was totally cheesy, I apologize!) We absolutely had to get the flag shots. Too perfect!

Ring shot!

Keegan and Adam have a very handsome and very playful 9-month old Lab named "Beau" (or maybe "Bo", depending on how they spell it!). He loves ice cubes and poses for photos like a champ!

Adam and Keegan were fantastic yesterday - thank you guys so much! As you can see, they are both gorgeous and I am really excited for their beautiful fall/winter wedding this November!
