The current temperature is 71 degrees. If I know St. Louis, it'll warm maybe another 5 degrees by 5:30, when Lucy and Kelechi's wedding will start.
I am so excited to be getting outside on this beautiful day, to a city park, and to have the honor to be witnessing and documenting a ceremony in which two people pledge their lives to one another, in front of God, their families, and their friends. I often speak of what an honor this job is, and today is no exception - the feeling is there, palpable, and I am as captive to it as I ever am.
I've got all my batteries charged, my cameras and chosen lenses packed, and everything ready to go (except me). Gazing out the window here in my office/dining room, the sun is strong and the world is awash in a golden afternoon glow. It is an amazing Fall day - the perfect day for a wedding.
