Tomorrow, it's back to crazy running. I have to get up at 5:30 to get myself and the boys ready and drop them off at 7. Then I have to drive 45 minutes up to St. Charles for work. I'll get home around 2-ish, have a few hours to return emails, edit, and then it's back out to get the boys (that's an hour drive round-trip).
But today, our home was quiet. I really enjoyed smudging the house and myself, lighting my little fall candle, giving my thanks for such a wonderful, abundant summer and looking forward to Autumn.
I have so much to be grateful for. If you could see my October calendar... it is as full as full can be. I have - ONE - day off, and on it scheduled a family trip to Eckerts Farm. They are having a full day of activities, including wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, pony rides, children's activities, a petting farm, make-your-own-scarecrow, live entertainment and music, and funnel cakes and festival food. I'm so ready!
I'm hoping that my November calendar fills up as well, and I am planning a weekend during which I'm going to turn my dining room into a studio and set up holiday portrait sessions.
I'm continuing to book weddings of course, and am discounting weddings for winter - December through February - so if you know anyone in need, pass me on please. They get a referral discount on top of discounted prices.
But for now, I'm looking forward to a wonderful, busy Autumn, as the fringes of the trees start to burnish gold, copper and crimson.
What a wonderful day you had, Sam!
